I was taking a break from doing the church bulletin doing some surfing and came on your blog. I enjoyed my visit. I can identify with what you said about you and your daughter in "Raising Teens - Part 4" post. I homeschooled my daughter and she is quite well adjusted and quite happy at home till the Lord sends her a hubby. She graduated college with a double major and has a good job and is quite a blessing!

What do you do when your family is broke and it's your dh's birthday? Grab your camera, and take them all to the harbour of course!Last weekend we decided to take Saturday (dh's...
I'm coming to you all with a request for prayer. We've found a house we really love. It has 5 bedrooms, and a sewing room (you may all recall, we're in a 2 bedroom home...
As any who knows me knows, I like to keep busy. During the winter months, I spent my 'free' time teaching myself how to knit. Once the weather began to warm up though, the...
Spring sprung here as per usual, about the end of February. All my bulbs began to come up, the crocuses (sp?) were up right on time, Daffodils soon to follow. Yet, now we've...
I don't get as much photography practice as I'd like, but I try not to stress about it. I know that this busy time in our lives is just for a season and that one day, hopefully...
We had a quiet Easter this year. The kids were hoping the grandparents would pop by, but we didn't hear from them so it was just us. I hid 50 packages of Easter goodies all...
Not too much to report yet but I thought I'd share the latest news.We found a place we are interested in. This place is exactly 5.6 km from my husband's parents. It's...
It's extremely windy outside tonight. My husband is out with the local police (he's a volunteer/auxiliary) and probably won't be home until some time between 2-4 am. It's funny...
Today I am thankful for our home. I know I complain about our home quite often. Living in such a small space with 7 people isn't always easy. This home is a blessing though....
Lacy is 2 weeks old today, and as sweet as ever! As I've mentioned before, her and her mama belong to our eldest daughter. Our daughter lives and breathes horses. She had her...
In our family, we're big on training our children up to know something about business. We'd love to see all of them earn an income for themselves and not spend their lives...
We've been spending a lot of our 'spare' time cleaning lately. Whoever said keeping little houses clean was easier then big houses, I wonder if they actually ever lived in both...
Those darn eagles! You may remember my previous post about how the eagles around here just LOVE to tease me. Well, the other day I was out snapping photos of Lacy, our foal,...
When our daughter Sia, decided on a name for her foal, it was just one of those things where she had been searching and searching and searching for the perfect name and suddenly...
Our new baby is just so much fun! I'm so glad we have her to play with during this tiring, long wait until we move. lol She brings so much 'extra' joy into our days. She's just...
If you ever thought horses were always full of grace, Lacy is here to prove you wrong. Baby horses teethe (sp?) too, just like baby people! Lacy enjoys 'chewing' on her...
and don't come back some other day. Or as Ally (one of our 8 year old twins) likes to say in a diddy she made up. "It's raining...It's pouring...It's absolutely boring..."
Just a little video clip of our rambunctious baby! Don't mind all the mud. We had 24 hours of straight rain. The joys of living in a warm climate in the winter time.
I hate to whine about the same thing over and over, but could we just sell this place and move already? I'm so tired of living in survival mode. 75% of our belongings are...
I thought this list would provide me with something different to write about today. lol If you want to answer the questions yourself on your own blog, let me know so I can come...
I don't know if I'll actually keep up with this, but I thought Thursday's would be a good day to reflect on what I am thankful for! Sometimes I'm not sure what to write about...
Our mare surprised us this morning with a baby girl next to her at the gate when we woke up! Silly girl! We really wanted to be there when it was born, but I guess she decided...
